Station12 is a specialist private equity and venture capital investor whose team combines operational, investment and advising experience, to give a unique and deep understanding of the Sports, Entertainment, Immersive and Knowledge sectors. We have worked across television, advertising, music and film, as well as leading investments in these sectors, together with gaming, sports, live events and theatre.
The Sports, Entertainment and Knowledge markets are global and being rapidly transformed by technology and changing consumer behaviour. We want to work with the best companies and talent to drive this change and create value for our partners, investee companies and investors. The UK is a proven market leader in these sectors but there is still plenty of scope to capture underinvested opportunities. Station12 has a demonstrable track record of success in venture investing within these sectors.
The Sports, Entertainment and Knowledge SEIS/EIS Service was launched in 2019 and is seeking to make qualifying investments into early and growth stage companies within Station12’s key sectors. We firmly believe that Sports, Entertainment and Knowledge impact individuals’ day-to-day lives and the changing market dynamics offer significant opportunities for businesses to grow.
Station12 also has a corporate finance arm which assists businesses when they are ready to sell. This provides valuable market intelligence in the identification of possible market gaps and access to new investment opportunities. It also enables us to understand what larger organisations (an ultimately the buyers of our investee companies) are thinking about in terms of future strategy.
The next subscription deadline for Station12 Sports, Entertainment and Knowledge Service is set to be 31 December 2019. Based on Station12’s current pipeline, investors who apply ahead of the December deadline should have their funds invested across 4-6 companies within the current tax year. The 4-6 companies will be a combination of both SEIS and EIS opportunities unless an investor has provided explicit allocation instructions.
Our existing investee companies have capacity for follow on funding.
