Great Point Investments (“Manager”) seeks to provide investors with a portfolio of high growth businesses operating in the UK creative industries with the potential to address large new markets or disrupt existing ones.
Great Point’s ultimate aim is to drive significant capital growth and will achieve this by looking to leverage its decades of experience, deep sector knowledge and extensive network of industry contacts and strategic partners.

The Manager will ensure each investor has a number of investments in their portfolio (minimum four) in order to ensure a diversified approach, with all target companies carefully selected for their ability to deliver an attractive risk/return profile. The Manager will only invest in companies that have been granted advance assurance from HMRC that they should qualify for the benefits of EIS relief.

The Manager is targeting an investment horizon of between four to six years (no guarantee implied). The main routes to exit are likely to be a trade sale, a sale to a financial buyer or strategic investor, or a sale to management.
The Great Point Group is a specialist media business whose senior management team have over 60 years of experience, successfully investing in the global media and entertainment sector. The team specialises in the management of EIS and BR qualifying media businesses, having managed over £250 million of investment into EIS and BR qualifying companies in recent years.
Altogether, the team has produced, financed and distributed more than US $2 billion worth of entertainment content, including over 170 productions by EIS - qualifying businesses.

An investor qualifies as an High Net Worth investor if they have
(a) An annual income to the value of £100,000 or more;
(b) Net assets to the value of £250,000 or more. Net assets for these purposes do not include:
(i) the property which is their primary residence or any loan secured on that residence;
(ii) any rights under a qualifying contract of insurance within the meaning of the Financial
Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001; or
(iii) any benefits (in the form of pensions or otherwise) which are payable on the termination of their service or death or retirement and to which they are or (or their dependants are), or may be, entitled.
An investor qualifies as ar Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor if at least one of the following applies:
a) they are a member of a network or syndicate of business angels and have been so for at least the last six months prior to the date below
b) they have made more than one investment in an unlisted company in the two years prior to the date below
c) they are working, or have worked in the two years prior to the date below, in a professional capacity in the private equity sector, or in the provision of finance for small and medium sized enterprises
d) they are currently, or have been in the two years prior to the date, below a director of a company with an annual turnover of at least £1 million
