Hurry don’t delay final reserve energy opportunities are available as a result of the forthcoming amendments relating to EIS and VCT schemes which are approaching Royal Assent, full detail on these amendments can be found here.

Reliable standby capacity is needed to back up less predictable energy sources such as solar and wind. This is often sourced by building small diesel fuelled power stations designed to generate electricity for short periods when there are peaks in grid demand. Whilst this sector will cease to benefit from EIS qualification after the end of November, yesterday’s headlines highlight the continued importance of having reliable standby capacity.
